Pelawangan Sembalun is a campsite you’ll stop at if you hike Mount Rinjani through the Sembalun route. I took this photo around 1:30 AM during a full moon, just before starting the climb to the summit. It was later than usual if you wanted to catch the sunrise at the top. The wind was strong that night, so I barely slept. While getting ready for the climb, I took a few photos, and this was one of them. You can see the clear sky with millions of stars and the full moon above, and its light reflecting on Segara Anak Lake. Despite being at a campsite, the stillness of the night offered a profound sense of solitude, allowing me to fully embrace the serenity of this extraordinary experience.
